Lee Pepper
Director of Operations

Lee joins Speakerheart after successfully creating and leading PassAlong's Account and Project Management team and 13 years working for Ross Perot-related entities. While attending the University of Tennessee, he launched a popular Perot '92 student group whose fervor caught the attention of the national Perot Campaign. After graduation, he moved to Dallas to work for Ross Perot’s political groups. His dedication to grassroots campaigning served him well in petition and ballot access drives for the Reform Party in 13 states in 1996. Lee became the youngest State Director for Perot 96 when he led the state of Indiana’s campaign efforts.

Following the 1996 Presidential election, he moved to Perot's IT Services company, Perot Systems. Lee started in recruiting for their largest data center, which led him to working in Data Center Operations as an Operations Manager. He quickly learned data processing from the ground up and was chosen to participate in a pilot leadership program to train and seed project managers. He then joined a materials management and accounts payable development team for Perot customer Tenet Healthcare where he eventually led the entire development team.

His entrepreneurial spirit and creative drive led him back to Nashville working with PassAlong and now Speakerheart. Lee also spent eight years in the U.S. Army Reserves completing Air Assault School and Officer Candidate School, finishing his service as an Armor officer. In addition, his interest in art led him to be a docent at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth and he was active in historic preservation efforts in Dallas. Lee is married to artist Jennifer Pepper and has two bouncing toddlers, Miles and Cy.
